Will this be a series to rival 'Sword of Truth' in scope and breadth? Hard to say. He joins them on their trek, and we learn that not only is he searching for his place in the world, but he's also running from some unpleasant memories. Along the way they meet and befriend Bannon Farmer, a guileless young man who ran away to seek his own rose-colored vision of the world. A few of these situations drag on a bit too long, stalling the pace.ДЄs this is a fantasy tale, they encounter the expected assortment of odd creatures, troubled villages, magic gone wrong and people who may have good intentions but whose actions result in unforeseen consequences that Nicci and Nathan must then contend with.
